Job description

Role Overview

This is a 6-month part-time contract for a Data Analyst based in Dublin, Ireland. The position follows a hybrid setup with 1 to 2 days per week required onsite. Working time is 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling. The engagement is paid on a day-rate basis, with compensation ranging from 230 to 350 per day depending on experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Receive, review, and complete incoming customer requests for data exports and custom benchmarking.
  • Work closely with customer support and account management teams to confirm requirements and keep them updated on progress.
  • Extract, prepare, and convert data from the Peakon data lake into requested delivery formats such as CSV, Excel, and JSON.
  • Carry out detailed validation and quality checks before any output is sent to the requester.
  • Follow all required data protection, privacy, and security procedures without exception.
  • Keep accurate records of all requests, their status, and final outcomes, and identify repeated patterns that can help improve future product design and data processes.

Required Background

  • Previous experience working as a Data Analyst or in a comparable data-centric role.
  • Strong ability to use SQL for complex querying, data extraction, and manipulation.
  • Comfort working with data outputs and exports in formats such as CSV, Excel, and JSON.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to work independently, handle a large request volume, and prioritize effectively.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security practices.
  • Experience with scripting tools such as Python or PySpark is a strong plus, especially in data lake environments.

Additional Requirements

Only candidates who already hold a valid visa permitting full-time work in Ireland will be considered. The employer is ideally looking for someone who can start immediately.

Compensation

This is a paid contract role with a day rate of 230 to 350, depending on experience.

Work Arrangement

The role is hybrid in Dublin, Ireland, with 1 to 2 onsite days each week and flexible part-time hours.
