Job overview
This remote contract role is for a Scrum Master who will guide an agile development team and ensure day-to-day delivery follows Scrum principles. The position involves varied assignments that often call for thoughtful interpretation and choosing the most suitable next steps independently.
The Scrum Master will help the team progress through timeboxed sprints, use short stand-up meetings to monitor status, and support alignment with departmental, segment, and organizational goals. The role requires sound judgment in day-to-day work, comfort with ambiguous situations, and the ability to operate with limited direction while following established procedures.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience with the software development life cycle is needed, with less than 5 years of background.
- Strong communication ability, leadership skills, and a high level of emotional intelligence are important.
- Hands-on experience in an Agile Scrum setting, or solid familiarity with Agile methods, is expected.
- Experience working across multiple teams is required.
- The candidate should be genuinely motivated by work that improves consumer experiences over time.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in insurance operations is an advantage.
- Ability to create and manage technical documentation is preferred.
- Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools is useful.
- Scrum Master certification is preferred.
- Background in planning and overseeing large projects is a plus.
- Previous work in the health solutions sector is beneficial.
- Experience collaborating with IT teams is preferred.
