Job description

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Scrum Master with a servant-leadership mindset to lead Agile practices and support effective, high-performing development teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding teams in adopting Scrum methodologies, clearing obstacles, and nurturing an environment of continuous enhancement to ensure timely delivery of top-quality products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and eliminate barriers impeding team progress.
  • Encourage collaboration and maintain clear communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report team performance utilizing Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts.
  • Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Champion continuous improvement and promote responsibility within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with Agile and Scrum standards and organizational protocols.
  • Support scaling Agile frameworks across multiple teams when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification as Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PSM).
  • Experience using Agile software tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with cross-functional or geographically distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile scaling frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.
