Overview

The Screening Specialist plays a crucial role in clinical trial patient recruitment by locating, contacting, and assessing potential participants. This position involves analyzing patient databases according to study eligibility criteria, performing outreach calls, and organizing screening appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze patient databases and lead lists to find suitable candidates for clinical trials.
  • Assess candidates against trial inclusion and exclusion standards.
  • Communicate clearly about clinical trial information and resolve common queries.
  • Arrange screening appointments for qualified participants with research coordinators.
  • Maintain accurate records and notes within CRM, EMR, or CTMS platforms.
  • Collaborate with clinical research coordinators to manage patient scheduling efficiently.
  • Monitor outreach performance metrics such as call volume, conversion rates, and scheduled visits.
  • Conduct follow-ups with interested candidates to confirm appointments.
  • Meet a daily outbound call target of over 150 while preserving professionalism, call quality, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • MBBS degree plus preferably one year internship in hospital pharmacy.
  • Strong command of English communication is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, clinical research, call centers or patient recruitment is advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply screening guidelines accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with EMR, CRM, or CTMS software is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trial recruitment experience preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively in remote or distributed team settings.

Performance Expectations

  • Regularly scheduling eligible screening visits for clinical trials.
  • Maintaining precise documentation of patient eligibility and interactions.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: Night shift from 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan Standard Time.
  • Workdays: Monday through Friday.
  • On-site position located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
  • Employer provides transportation for employees.
