Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for a Scientific & Laboratory Operations Specialist working remotely. The position focuses on evaluating scientific and laboratory content with a strong emphasis on accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
The assignment offers compensation in the range of $50 to $70 per hour and is expected to require about 10 to 40 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine scientific figures, lab reports, and experimental outcomes to confirm they are clear and correct.
- Review dashboards and scientific visuals, then provide specialist feedback on their accuracy and presentation quality.
- Develop scoring rubrics and evaluation criteria for interpreting technical industry documents and data visualizations.
- Translate and condense complex scientific material to help build AI training datasets.
- Record findings, call out discrepancies, and suggest ways to improve scientific precision.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support delivery of high-quality outputs.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in scientific, laboratory, research, manufacturing, or quality-focused settings.
- Proven capability to assess scientific graphics, experiment results, and technical publications with a critical eye.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills for complex scientific material.
- Ability to evaluate dashboards, charts, and other scientific visual content for correctness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on precise documentation and constructive feedback.
Additional Information
This is a remote contract role based in Canada.
Commitment is expected to be between 10 and 40 hours per week.
