Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for a Scientific & Laboratory Operations Specialist working remotely. The position focuses on evaluating scientific and laboratory content with a strong emphasis on accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

The assignment offers compensation in the range of $50 to $70 per hour and is expected to require about 10 to 40 hours each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine scientific figures, lab reports, and experimental outcomes to confirm they are clear and correct.
  • Review dashboards and scientific visuals, then provide specialist feedback on their accuracy and presentation quality.
  • Develop scoring rubrics and evaluation criteria for interpreting technical industry documents and data visualizations.
  • Translate and condense complex scientific material to help build AI training datasets.
  • Record findings, call out discrepancies, and suggest ways to improve scientific precision.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support delivery of high-quality outputs.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in scientific, laboratory, research, manufacturing, or quality-focused settings.
  • Proven capability to assess scientific graphics, experiment results, and technical publications with a critical eye.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills for complex scientific material.
  • Ability to evaluate dashboards, charts, and other scientific visual content for correctness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on precise documentation and constructive feedback.

Additional Information

This is a remote contract role based in Canada.

Commitment is expected to be between 10 and 40 hours per week.
