About the Role

We believe that every child is unique and capable of great achievements. We continuously seek school companions, daycare companions, and individual case assistants across Berlin and Brandenburg. Positions are available in part-time or full-time roles close to your location. This is an open-call position; apply even if there’s no current listing for your area and we will match you with the nearest suitable placement.

You will never be left on your own. We provide thorough onboarding, ongoing training, professional guidance, and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children with special needs on their unique school or daycare journey.
  • Work methodically with diverse school and learning materials.
  • Implement modern educational concepts to offer students new perspectives for their future.
  • Provide accompaniment and aid to a child in classroom or daycare settings.
  • Help structure learning and daily routines, especially during emotional moments such as frustration, anxiety, or shame.
  • Assist communication with peers and classmates.
  • Document your support activities, inform parents, and liaise with the school or daycare center.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High empathy enabling genuine understanding of students' needs.
  • Positive, reflective attitude towards work and children.
  • Residence in Berlin or Brandenburg.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Clear and supportive communication skills.
  • Preferred experience includes work with children by social pedagogues, special educators, curative educators, social workers, educators, or similar training or studies.
  • Career changers with experience handling children are warmly invited to apply.
