About the role
The Goddard School in Round Lake, IL is looking for an energetic and forward-thinking School Director of Education & Training to lead the learning experience across the school. This position centers on curriculum delivery, educator development, and maintaining strong educational quality while also supporting day-to-day school operations.
In this role, you will guide a team of educators, safeguard brand and licensing expectations, put the Wonder of Learning® proprietary curriculum into practice, and strengthen the connection between the school, families, and the wider community.

Key responsibilities
- Direct everyday school operations while staying aligned with brand, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Recruit, coach, oversee, and support staff to foster a positive and collaborative workplace.
- Lead the implementation of the Wonder of Learning® program, helping create engaging experiences that encourage curiosity and growth.
- Develop meaningful relationships with families and represent the school positively in the community.
- Oversee budget, enrollment, and resource planning to support smooth operations.
- Maintain a secure, sanitary, and well-prepared environment for children, employees, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in early childhood education and at least 1 year in a leadership position.
- Solid understanding of child development, early learning practices, and people leadership.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and delivering high-quality education.
- Ability to pass the required state background checks and satisfy state minimum education, experience, and credential standards.
