Job description
Role Overview
IFF is a worldwide company known for its work in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health and biosciences, with a focus on creating sustainable innovations that improve everyday products. In this position, you will work across teams and levels to help shape new fragrance concepts, technologies, consumer-focused solutions, ideas, and development processes. The job is located at the Scent Creative Center in Dubai.
What You Will Do
- Lead go-to-market initiatives and put forward forward-thinking fragrance development approaches.
- Translate market, customer, and consumer expectations into product ideas and recommendations that strengthen business outcomes.
- Partner with perfumers, technical specialists, consumer insights, and marketing teams to identify challenges, spot opportunities, and build new scent solutions and capabilities.
- Create fragrance strategies aligned with holistic scent design principles.
- Shape consumer insights work by deciding what needs to be learned from consumers to build an advantage in the market and develop solutions that resonate with users.
- Guide perfumers with creative direction and olfactive input so they can explore more distinct and differentiated fragrance ideas.
- Build trusted working relationships with internal stakeholders and maintain strong credibility across teams.
- Track market movement and competitor activity, keep teams informed, and share relevant knowledge across the organization.
What You Need
- Strong fragrance communication ability, including the ability to discriminate scents, describe associations, and retain odor memory.
- Capability to assess whether a fragrance or technology solution fits market needs.
- Good understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and customer preferences.
- Knowledge of fragrance ingredients and technologies to communicate effectively with technical teams and perfumers.
- Basic familiarity with fragrance formulation and stability risk assessment.
- Well-developed project management skills with a structured, disciplined, and process-driven approach.
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, Product Research, or another related field.
- Fluency in English.
