Role Summary
AIM is hiring a Scale Clerk for its Sudbury site. This is a Monday to Friday position, with Saturday overtime available. The role centers on precise weighing, recordkeeping, and customer interaction in a busy operational setting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay is CAD 25.75 per hour, with overtime paid after 44 hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Use the scale system to weigh inbound and outbound metal loads accurately.
- Enter weight details and other required information into a computer system or paper-based logs.
- Welcome customers and provide courteous, professional assistance.
- Keep complete and accurate records of transactions, material categories, weights, and customer details.
- Check driver, carrier, and vehicle identification and paperwork, issue receipts, and process payments correctly.
- Support daily office tasks such as answering calls, replying to emails, and organizing filing systems.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a scale house or a similar customer-focused environment. Strong interpersonal skills, comfort with computers and scale software, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are important. The role also requires confidence handling cash, maintaining accurate records, and communicating clearly in both spoken and written form.
Working Schedule
This is an onsite role in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, with Saturday overtime available.
