Role overview
The Credit Control Executive plays an important part in managing receivables efficiently within the Body and Paint division, supporting the Credit Control Manager and the Business Unit Finance Manager. The position helps drive timely collections by improving processes, monitoring financial indicators, and handling difficult customer situations. Because the role involves access to sensitive information, sound judgment and strong control over data are essential. Close coordination with shared services and internal teams is needed to reduce financial risk and follow best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Credit Control Manager in reviewing existing processes and recommending improvements for faster invoicing and cash collection.
- Compile, check, and share MIS reports on receivables by division and customer so the manager can identify problem areas.
- Work with the credit control team to help reduce risk exposure.
- Track and present key performance indicators for each division, and review them regularly with the Credit Control Manager and Business Unit Finance Manager.
- Support the creation of collection strategies and action plans, and help ensure they are carried out effectively.
- Coordinate with Finance Shared Services on debtor reporting, accounting matters, and receivables tracking.
- Prepare monthly reports and review them with the Credit Control Manager and BUFM according to the agreed schedule.
- Make sure receivables provision submissions are completed on time, and provide prompt analysis and reconciliations for disputed customer balances.
- Review overdue customer accounts quickly and help build payment plans where needed.
- Contribute ideas and support that help reduce overdue percentages.
- Help manage difficult customers and follow up on past-due payments.
- Encourage a transparent and cooperative work culture that supports team goals.
- Carry out any additional duties required by business needs.
Skills and qualifications needed
The role calls for strong analytical ability to interpret financial information and turn it into practical recommendations. You should be comfortable guiding and supporting teams, including diverse groups, to achieve strong performance. High computer literacy is important, especially with SAP or similar advanced applications. You also need to communicate clearly with people at different levels inside and outside the organization.
To be considered, candidates should hold an internationally recognized professional accountancy qualification or a Bachelor of Commerce/Diploma in Accounting Financial Management. At least 3 years of experience in receivables management is required, preferably in a large organization. Experience in the Parts Dealers business is beneficial. Strong spoken and written communication skills are essential, and Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
