Role Overview

This position calls for a SAP VMS functional specialist who can work on automotive and manufacturing transformations, guide business discovery, and shape functional solutions for modern SAP landscapes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Overall SAP functional experience of 4 to 10 years, with deep specialization in SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS).
• Experience across multiple end-to-end SAP implementations or major assessment/upgrade programs in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Practical exposure to SAP S/4HANA and Fiori is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of interface technologies such as IDoc, BAPI, and XML, along with data migration approaches.
• Ability to run discovery workshops with business stakeholders, capture requirements and pain points, and identify workable solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to spot process bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with OEMs, distributors, and dealers to understand the current VMS environment and business challenges.
• Perform fit-gap analysis to compare existing processes with target-state requirements.
• Design functional roadmaps for moving legacy VMS implementations toward modern architectures such as SAP S/4HANA or centralized dealer management integrations.
• Review and assess automotive processes including vehicle master data, action matrix, variant configuration, pricing, warranty, and spare parts.
• Evaluate and document integrations between VMS and SAP core modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, and CS.
