Role Summary
The Package Specialist for Payroll ECP is accountable for configuring, fixing, and improving SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solutions. The position requires hands-on expertise in payroll setup, schema and rule handling, integrations, and replication workflows to help keep payroll systems reliable and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and support SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll components, including schemas, rules, and wage types.
- Deliver both technical and functional support for payroll processing, configuration, and system integrations.
- Analyze and resolve EC-to-ECP replication issues and related payroll data transfer problems.
- Review system logs, errors, and configuration details to find and address root causes.
- Support payroll cycles such as simulations, regular payroll runs, off-cycle processing, and finance posting.
- Create and update configuration records and technical design documentation.
- Assist with HRSP upgrades, support pack activities, and implementation of SAP payroll notes.
- Work with integration teams on interfaces between payroll and HR, benefits, and finance platforms.
- Contribute to testing activities including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
- Act as a subject matter expert during payroll implementations, upgrades, and country-specific rollouts.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in SAP Payroll or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
- Mandatory ECP SF certification.
- Strong command of payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and payroll configuration.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot payroll processing failures and replication issues.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Experience with payroll integrations and interface support.
- Exposure to testing cycles such as SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with HRSP upgrades and SAP note implementation is preferred.
- Background in supporting global payroll environments is an advantage.
Education
A master’s degree is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HRIS, or a related discipline is also expected for this role.
