SAP Solution Architect O2C

Role overview

You will partner with global business teams and support SAP capabilities across 95 markets, shaping the Order to Cash roadmap while holding full IT accountability for finance platforms. In this role, you will act as the SAP S/4HANA specialist, translate the broader strategy into local market needs, and use strong business partnering skills to help run globally deployed SAP solutions. The position offers significant ownership in a greenfield environment, where you will evaluate options and deliver solutions end to end.

• Location: Bengaluru
• Work arrangement: Hybrid, with office reporting required three days per week

Solution ownership

• Serve as the subject matter authority for SAP Order to Cash, with hands-on depth in SAP S/4HANA 1709 or above, SD, LE, FSCM, MM, and SAP TPM.
• Bring proven integration exposure across SAP TPM and SAP IBP.
• Apply functional knowledge in allocation, EDI, order management, credit management, invoicing, collections, and dispute handling for consumer goods processes.
• Work with global O2C process owners to shape the technical and functional roadmap for Order to Cash.
• Take ownership of the technical design for SAP O2C solutions and make sure complete solution documentation is maintained.
• Establish and check that IT partners follow technical standards, including development, integration, and testing practices.
• Contribute to the IT product roadmap for managed platforms using industry best practices, vendor roadmaps, and the company’s functional direction.

Demand management

• Assess incoming O2C-related IT requests and question any requirements that do not align with standard or best-practice solutions.
• Capture business requirements and move them toward practical solutions, while presenting those solutions to third-party system integrators.
• Collaborate with platform owners, global process owners, and IT partners to manage the demand backlog and review functional and technical specifications, including effort estimates.
• Evaluate impact analyses and design documents to confirm that operational processes remain stable after release.
• Promote cost-efficient delivery by challenging non-standard designs and controlling the capacity and cost impact of each change.

Minimum experience and stakeholder context

• At least 10 years of experience across SAP application implementation and support within ERP Order to Cash environments.
• Minimum 4 years of experience delivering SAP changes or projects as either a project manager or solution architect.
• At least 3 years of exposure to the SAP S/4HANA digital core.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with senior business or functional stakeholders in regional or global settings.
• At least 2 years of practical understanding of SAP support operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential.
• Key stakeholders include the IT Platform Lead for O2C, IT Delivery Manager, IT Solution Architect for R2R, O2C business process owners, IT partners, IT infrastructure teams, and BASIS managers.
