SAP SD and Logistics Execution Consultant

About the Role

We seek an accomplished SAP SD and Logistics Execution Consultant with a minimum of five years of practical expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE). The role involves extensive involvement in supporting and configuring end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, Stock Transfer Orders (STO), outbound delivery, shipping, goods issue/PGI, as well as integration with Warehouse Management (WM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management (TM), and external system interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain core SAP SD processes including sales orders, deliveries, billing, pricing, contracts, and credit control.
• Manage the complete Order-to-Cash lifecycle ensuring smooth process execution.
• Set up sales document types, item and schedule line categories, and control document copying rules.
• Establish pricing procedures, condition types, access sequences, and maintain condition records.
• Implement delivery and shipping protocols such as shipping points, routing, loading groups, and route determination.
• Oversee outbound delivery processes including picking, packing, Goods Issue and Post Goods Issue steps.
• Handle Stock Transfer Orders and associated purchase order and delivery workflows.
• Support transportation and shipment documentation processes.
• Configure and monitor delivery scheduling and availability (ATP) checks.
• Facilitate integration between SAP SD and WM/EWM/TM systems, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
• Manage IDoc, ALE, and EDI interfaces with troubleshooting of inbound and outbound data exchange issues.
• Collaborate with ABAP and other technical teams to resolve delivery, billing, pricing, and interface challenges.
• Support handling unit and serial number management where applicable.
• Investigate production issues thoroughly, conduct root cause analyses, and implement functional fixes.
• Create functional specifications and work alongside technical teams for system enhancements.
• Execute unit, integration, regression testing and assist during UAT phases.
• Participate actively in Application Management Services and project implementation activities.
• Engage with business users, offshore/onshore stakeholders, and cross-functional teams for coordinated delivery.
• Contribute to requirements gathering, solution design, deployment and provide post-Go-Live support.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and ensure up-to-date functional documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in SAP SD.
• In-depth practical knowledge of SAP SD and Logistics Execution modules.
• Comprehensive understanding of Order-to-Cash transactional workflows.
• Proven expertise in configuration of sales order, delivery, and billing processes.
• Hands-on experience in outbound delivery tasks like shipping, picking, packing and goods issue (PGI/GI).
• Familiarity with Stock Transfer Orders and related procurement/delivery processes.
• Expertise in shipping point determination and route assignments.
• Skilled in pricing arrangements, output management, billing, and credit control operations.
• Experience with availability check mechanisms (ATP) and delivery scheduling.
• Competent in SAP SD integration with WM, EWM, and TM platforms.
• Strong understanding of IDoc, ALE, and EDI interface mechanisms and troubleshooting.
• Capability to handle interface-related delivery and billing issues efficiently.
• Effective coordination with ABAP and technical support teams.
• Experience in both AMS/support and project implementation contexts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Knowledge of Handling Unit (HU) and serial number management.
• Configuration and monitoring of EDI, ALE, and IDoc channels.
• Basic ABAP debugging abilities.
• Experience integrating SAP SD with EWM and TM modules.
• Background in global team coordination including onshore and offshore setups.
