SAP S/4HANA Security Specialist

Role overview

We are looking for an SAP security professional with strong experience in access control, role design, and user governance within SAP environments. The role involves working across SAP S/4HANA, GRC, Fiori authorization, and related security processes while supporting both project delivery and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain system access structures, roles, and user administration processes.
• Manage user administration, role maintenance, and emergency access controls.
• Support authorization management for SAP S/4HANA, GRC, and Fiori applications.
• Handle SAP upgrade-related security tasks, including work with SU25, SU24, PFCG, and similar transactions.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into a standardized security and authorization approach using tools such as the Profile Generator, SAP GRC, and Xiting.
• Run Segregation of Duties analysis, coordinate remediation activities, and keep production systems monitored for security breaches.
• Support audit requests, collect evidence, and assist with SAP license measurement activities.
• Manage project work and support tasks at the same time.
• Help harmonize and roll out authorization concepts across multiple FC systems.
• Work closely with functional architects and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth end-to-end integration and consistency across SAP processes.
• Partner with functional and IT teams to gather requirements for job roles and job functions.
• Act as the main point of contact for business teams on role management, user administration, and GRC topics.
• Train and guide end users on authorization-related matters.
• Resolve issues and implement user-requested changes or specifications related to security and access.

Preferred and additional exposure

• Experience in BTP security administration, including authentication, provisioning, and permission management.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA DB Cockpit through Eclipse or SAP HANA Database tools.
• Hands-on exposure to Xiting and its XAM-related components.
• Understanding of SAP RISE business processes and the ability to guide stakeholders through the RISE with SAP journey.

• Strong capability in SAP S/4HANA and Fiori authorization design.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.
