SAP FICO Business Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking to hire a skilled SAP FICO Business Consultant based in Doha, Qatar. This role involves ensuring the stability and support of financial operations within the SAP S/4HANA environment. Working closely with Finance and Business Technology teams, the consultant will focus on Financial Accounting and Controlling modules, guaranteeing precise financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and effective cost management, especially relevant to manufacturing and oil & gas sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and support SAP FI/CO processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, and Profit Centers.
• Identify deficiencies and inefficiencies in SAP financial workflows and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Customize and enhance SAP FICO configurations to align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and financial statements.
• Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement, Sales, and IT departments to facilitate comprehensive system integration.
• Provide support for system upgrades, change requests, and corrective measures.
• Help maintain data accuracy, govern master data, and uphold financial controls.
• Deliver functional advice, prepare documentation, and facilitate knowledge sharing with internal teams.
• Support audit activities and ensure compliance demands are met.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a SAP FICO Business or Functional Consultant.
• Strong practical knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules in S/4HANA or ECC platforms.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, cost structures, and inventory valuation.
• Prior exposure to the oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial industries is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-resolution skills.
• Strong communication capabilities to effectively liaise with finance and business stakeholders.
• Willingness and availability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, preferably with immediate or short-notice availability.

• Engagement Duration: 6 months fixed-term contract.
• Work Location: On-site in Doha, Qatar.
