Role Overview
This role is for an SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant based in Bengaluru or Hyderabad. The position focuses on building, enhancing, integrating, and supporting SAP custom developments across core business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced ABAP solutions such as reports, ALV outputs, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms using Adobe Forms and SmartForms.
- Build custom logic around pricing routines, output determination, sales document processing, delivery, and billing flows.
- Create and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems using IDocs, EDI, BAPIs, and web services including REST and SOAP.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and optimize the performance of long-running custom programs.
- Prepare and keep up-to-date technical specifications and unit test documentation for all development work.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bring 6 to 8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Have strong exposure to SAP OTC (SD) and Logistics/SCOP business areas.
- Understand ALE/IDoc setup and have experience connecting SAP with third-party platforms such as Salesforce, 3PL providers, or e-commerce systems.
- Be skilled in enhancement techniques, including user exits, BAdIs, and explicit or implicit enhancements.
- Possess solid knowledge of the SAP Data Dictionary and the creation of custom tables and views.
