Job Summary

This role involves maintaining impeccable sanitary standards on food contact surfaces, processing machinery, and the designated work area, all aligned to food quality requirements.

Primary Duties

• Adhere to safety practices and company policies to prevent injury to self and coworkers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of chemical usage on the Chemical Log.
• Transport chemicals safely and efficiently using hand carts between the chemical storage area and cleaning zones.
• Complete cleaning assignments routinely and consistently.
• Periodically test and record foaming and sanitizing solution levels within the central foaming tank.
• Contribute to sanitation training efforts to ensure proper techniques and standards are taught.
• Maintain OSHA forklift certification by completing requisite trainings.
• Participate actively in relevant training sessions to improve job skills and knowledge.
• Comply fully with all company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate constructively with team members and support groups following a participative management approach to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least six months of related experience or training is preferred.

Additional Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Basic math competency, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Capability to work in confined spaces and distinguish colors accurately.
• Tolerance for working in noisy, extreme temperature environments (hot, cold), as well as wet and slippery floors.
• Experience working safely with hazardous chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as wetsuits, boots, gloves, goggles, or face shields.
• Manual dexterity in hands necessary to operate valves, use high-pressure hoses, and carry buckets filled with water and chemicals.
• Ability to exert push/pull forces of up to 50 pounds to move barrels weighing as much as 450 pounds using mechanical aids.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight spaces, work at heights, and climb stairs or ladders.

Location and Travel

This position is located at the GF Plant in Moses Lake, Washington, United States. No travel is required.
