Job description
About the company
NOBLE supports U.S. military and civilian government organizations worldwide by delivering mission-critical products and services that help sustain operations and solve daily challenges.
Role overview
This role is centered on growing relationships with U.S. Coast Guard customers across the Pacific region by offering practical solutions, products, and procurement support. The Sales Representative will manage assigned accounts, build new opportunities, and work closely with leadership to shape sales plans and regional strategy. The position involves regular customer interaction, both on site and through other communication channels, with responsibility for quotes, estimates, product details, demonstrations, and day-to-day support.
Territory and customer focus
The assigned territory includes the USCG Southwest District in California; Northwest District covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana; Oceania District covering Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, and the wider Central and Western Pacific; and the Arctic District in Alaska.
Priority customer groups include procurement teams within the named districts, with a strong emphasis on shore-based Civil Engineering Units such as CEU Oakland, CEU Honolulu, CEU Juneau, and surface units including U.S. Coast Guard stations on the West Coast.
What you will do
- Drive quarterly and annual revenue and profit targets.
- Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships across the assigned territory, while also opening doors to new markets when needed.
- Track, manage, and report the weekly sales pipeline covering opportunities, quotations, and orders.
- Work with customers to define requirements for future bids and contract quotes for company equipment and services.
- Travel to customer sites and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to uncover sales opportunities.
- Gather market, competitor, and customer intelligence, then share key insights, risks, and opportunities with the business.
- Prepare quotations, including pricing, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery timelines.
- Use internal CRM and ERP tools to process quotes and orders accurately.
- Support inside sales with quote creation, data entry, and identification of suitable funding opportunities.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and priorities.
- Complete reporting, recordkeeping, and expense submissions within company deadlines.
- Work with customer stakeholders on product development, improvements, and modifications that can improve performance.
- Process quote requests received in writing, electronically, or by phone.
- Create marketing approaches that generate new leads within the existing region.
- Use an inside/outside sales model to coordinate territory strategy, customer strategy, vendor relations, and dealer-of-record activity.
- Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, subcontractors, vendors, business partners, and suppliers.
- Own the full customer sales cycle and keep a Google calendar updated with calls, travel, and sales pipeline activities.
What we are looking for
- Prior experience working in a sales representative role.
- Working knowledge of government sales and federal contracting.
- Background with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, the U.S. Coast Guard, and/or law enforcement.
- Ability to meet deadlines independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation capability.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
Education and experience
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of sales experience is preferred, or 5 years of industry experience in place of formal education.
Technical skills
Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, online research, and ideally NetSuite or another ERP platform.
Work environment
This position is based in a typical office setting, but it also requires meeting customers in a range of environments. A personal home office is expected for administrative work.
