Job description
Position Summary
NOBLE is a global defense and government services provider that helps strengthen national readiness through an extensive worldwide footprint, more than 150 contract vehicles, and a broad catalog of products, solutions, services, and logistics support.
This role offers the chance to grow customer partnerships by delivering mission-oriented products, practical procurement options, and tailored solutions that reduce day-to-day operational friction. The Sales Representative will own sales development and account management across assigned agencies and departments, working closely with the Director of Sales to shape both territory strategy and the overall sales plan.
The position involves regular customer interaction through on-site meetings and other communication channels. Core work includes creating orders, preparing pricing estimates, explaining product details, conducting demonstrations, and responding to customer questions. Success in the role requires strong organization, the ability to handle multiple priorities at once, consistent follow-through, and a polished, proactive professional presence.
Territory and Mission Focus
The territory emphasis is on the North West Plains region, with a strong mission focus on special operations support, rapid acquisition, and Special Operations Forces customers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver revenue and profit results that meet or exceed quarterly targets and the annual plan.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with customers and vendors, while creating opportunities across the assigned territory and, when needed, in adjacent markets.
- Track and share a weekly sales pipeline covering opportunities, quotes, and open orders.
- Work with customers to shape future bid needs and contract quote requirements for equipment and services.
- Visit client sites and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to generate and advance sales opportunities.
- Collect and communicate market, competitor, opportunity, and threat intelligence to internal teams.
- Prepare pricing quotes and determine suitable credit or contract terms, warranty details, and delivery timelines.
- Use internal CRM and ERP tools to process quotes and orders.
- Support inside sales with quote entry and help identify available funding sources and opportunities.
- Recommend products and solutions that align with customer needs and preferences.
- Handle routine administrative work, including reports, sales records, and expense reports, within company deadlines.
- Partner with customer stakeholders on product development, enhancements, modifications, and performance improvements.
- Accurately process quote requests received in writing, electronically, or by phone.
- Create a marketing approach that generates new leads within the existing territory.
- Use an inside/outside sales model to support territory planning, customer strategy, vendor relationships, and dealer-of-record activities.
- Communicate effectively with managers, coworkers, customers, subcontractors, vendors, business partners, and suppliers.
- Take full ownership of the customer sales process from start to finish.
- Keep an updated Google calendar for customer calls, travel, and the active sales pipeline.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of government sales and federal contracting.
- Prior experience working with the Department of Defense, military organizations, federal agencies, and/or law enforcement.
- Ability to complete work by deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance if the role requires it.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in place of a degree.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, internet research tools, and ideally NetSuite or another ERP system.
- Capable of working in a typical office setting and meeting customers in a variety of environments.
- Expected to maintain a personal home office for administrative tasks.
