About the Role
Chef Middle East is a major distributor of food and beverage products in the region and is hiring a Sales Representative for the HORECA segment in the Northern Emirates. This is an outside sales role focused on promoting the company’s offerings and strengthening relationships with both prospective and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer questions about products, pricing, stock availability, and how the products are used.
- Share product details and deliver hands-on guidance to customer staff when needed.
- Follow up on receivables, coordinate with the credit team and clients, and ensure balances are collected according to approved credit terms.
- Coordinate deliveries based on the transport team’s route plan and resolve order-related issues such as stock shortages, special requests, and limited inventory.
- Take part in company events, customer visits, promotions, sales meetings, and district meetings.
- Review daily and weekly reports, including special-order activity, customer bid files, and sales and gross profit data.
- Handle administrative work such as sales budgets, reports, records, credit processing, pick-up requests, sales quotations, menu recommendations, and filing.
- Participate in ongoing training programs.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members when assigned.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Channel Manager or Head of Sales.
Qualifications and Experience
The role calls for a college or university diploma, or at least 2 to 3 years of related experience and training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience in customer-facing sales, be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel, understand food product lines and customer segments, and hold a valid UAE driving license. Arabic language skills are preferred.
