Job Overview
This position is for a Sales / Project Manager focused on the Microsoft SMB segment with an Azure-centric portfolio. The role is based in Hyderabad and follows a night shift schedule of 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM IST. It is a quota-bearing position that combines sales ownership with end-to-end project delivery responsibility.
The selected professional will be expected to independently build a pipeline, win business, manage customer relationships, and oversee execution from discovery through project completion. The role requires strong familiarity with Microsoft and hyperscaler ecosystems, along with practical knowledge of Azure infrastructure, AI, and data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the sales and delivery journey, from sourcing opportunities and creating pipeline to discovery, negotiation, closing, and final project execution.
- Develop a pipeline independently from the first day, using Microsoft sellers, partner relationships, and outbound outreach in the US and Canada markets.
- Negotiate and close mid-market opportunities in the $15K to $200K range while consistently achieving personal revenue targets and quotas.
- Strengthen working relationships with Microsoft sellers and partner ecosystem contacts and contribute to co-sell and go-to-market initiatives.
- Use practical knowledge of Azure infrastructure, AI, and data services to understand client needs, shape solution positioning, and work effectively with technical teams.
- Guide projects from initial discovery to successful completion, ensuring scope clarity, quality delivery, timely execution, and strong customer satisfaction.
- Stay accountable for revenue performance, margins, and business outcomes, ensuring engagements support company growth.
- Coordinate closely with North America-based clients and Microsoft stakeholders while working in PST-aligned hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a quota-driven sales, account management, or combined sales and delivery role.
- Proven ability to create pipeline independently and close deals without needing extensive ramp-up or close supervision.
- Hands-on experience negotiating mid-market deals in the $15K to $200K range.
- Exposure to the Microsoft ecosystem or hyperscalers, with Azure being the preferred background.
- Working understanding of Azure Infrastructure, including IaaS, networking, and compute.
- Knowledge of Azure Data services such as analytics, databases, and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Azure AI offerings such as OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and basic machine learning concepts.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to lead engagements from start to finish.
- Experience handling sales quotas, forecasting, and revenue tracking.
