Sales Planning Analyst (12 Month Contract)

Role Summary

This position is focused on forecasting inventory, preparing boxes, and balancing global stock to support diamond sales activities. The job is intended to improve data quality, operational effectiveness, and governance compliance, while also generating insights that help guide strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure governance standards are followed for technical, assurance, occupational health and safety, and environmental requirements across projects and all personnel, including both contract and permanent staff, and confirm that equipment meets safety, security, and policy expectations.
• Ensure incidents are reported promptly, investigated properly, and followed through with corrective actions to restore and maintain required standards.
• Take part in scheduled SHE campaigns and help implement them.
• Use forecast information to assess box availability and pricing scenarios.
• Keep product offerings consistent throughout the ITO period.
• Deliver analytical insight and scenario-based recommendations to support sales planning.
• Coordinate splitting, rolling, and shipping activities so deadlines are met.
• Assist with import and export paperwork and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records that are ready for audit and track stock movements accurately.
• Give senior leaders clear visibility into stock position and movements.
• Support both internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare stock and sales reports for different stakeholders.
• Help identify trends and improve systems and processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams on planning and forecasting initiatives.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate qualification in a relevant technical field such as Statistics or Business Management is preferred. Equivalent practical experience in a role of similar complexity may also be considered.

Experience and Knowledge

• Strong background in advanced data analysis, with the ability to draw conclusions, draft reports, and recommend actions for relevant stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of the diamond pipeline and GSS operational procedures.
• Proven analytical experience, ideally within a product-focused environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of PDTC operational processes and the systems used.
• Strong ability to work with data in Excel and MicroStrategy.
• Good understanding of the DBGSS pipeline.
• Working knowledge of De Beers rough diamond valuation and presentation assortment structures.
• Strong report writing and presentation capability.
• Ability to interpret process and data analysis and turn it into recommendations.
