About the role

This opening is with the Commercial Department of Qatar Airways for a Sales Operations Coordinator position in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role centers on running day-to-day sales operations for the assigned region, following established procedures and policy requirements, while supporting revenue-generating sales activity through excellent service to internal teams and external trade partners.

You will also contribute to team spirit within the sales operations group and help build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out sales operations work in line with standard operating procedures and the airline’s global sales operations framework.
  • Take a central role in activities such as reservations and ticketing, support for trade and corporate accounts, group sales, sales support, sales systems, and sales administration.
  • Prepare clear, helpful communications for external trade partners regarding campaigns, policy updates, fare changes, and similar matters.
  • Help maintain an accurate regional database of trade partners and provide managers with regular updates on performance indicators and pending issues.
  • Guide junior team members and support consistent service quality across the team.
  • Complete any additional duties linked to the position as assigned by the Head of Department.
  • Handle refunds and related sales operations processes.
  • Submit Commercial Tool Kit requests in Galaxy for the sales force.
  • Support the upkeep of Galaxy and Trade Portal platforms.
  • Coordinate with customers and QR account managers to complete required documentation.
  • Prepare reports for relevant markets and distribute monthly performance updates.
  • Keep customer records current in Galaxy.
  • Upload PLB and corporate contracts into Galaxy.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Background in one or more of the following areas: reservations and ticketing, sales support, group sales, tariffs, distribution, or business analysis.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Good computer skills, with solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Well-developed communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Working knowledge of airline processes, pricing and distribution technology, related systems such as Amadeus and GDS platforms, and the wider travel industry.
  • A practical, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching capability.
  • Ability to encourage collaboration and teamwork within the group.
