Role Overview
As a Virtual Sales Officer at HDFC Bank, you will represent the bank to non-managed customers by presenting suitable products and educating them on digital offerings. Your role focuses on identifying the right banking products by understanding customer needs and effectively communicating product benefits to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet monthly unit, value, and income targets across various product lines.
- Engage with non-managed customers primarily via phone calls, utilizing scripted conversations to assess their needs and pitch multiple products, thereby increasing product holdings.
- Maintain high standards of communication quality, capturing accurate customer responses and incorporating feedback from supervisors and training teams.
- Promote digital banking products by educating customers about their convenience and benefits, aiming to grow digital penetration within the customer base.
- Follow all regulatory, tele-calling, and product-specific compliance guidelines diligently.
- Adhere to internal policies regarding floor discipline and dialer hygiene standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation is mandatory; post-graduation is advantageous.
- Possession of IRDA certification is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience is necessary, with preference given to those experienced in banking.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong sales and influencing capabilities.
- Solid understanding of banking products, processes, and industry trends.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills.
- Ability to stay informed about competitive products and market developments.
Work Environment and Stakeholders
- You will report directly to the Team Manager of the Virtual Sales Team.
- This role does not involve any travel and does not supervise any direct reports.
- Key stakeholders include customers, line supervisors, and quality and training teams.
