Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to lead our Waikato sales team and catalyze growth across this diverse and vibrant region stretching from agricultural zones to iconic landscapes. As part of Service Foods, you will manage a dynamic sales team and oversee categories including Foodservice, Butchery, and Produce.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Waikato sales team to deliver excellent commercial results.
- Create and implement regional sales strategies ensuring sustained profitable growth.
- Manage customer retention, acquire new business, and increase market share within the region.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with key customers, strategic accounts, and stakeholders.
- Identify fresh market opportunities and establish lasting customer relationships.
- Maintain rigorous pipeline management, sales forecasting, CRM utilization, and sales performance reporting.
- Exercise sound commercial judgment in pricing, margin control, and negotiations.
- Track sales metrics and institute measures to boost performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, category management, customer support, and other teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Leverage customer, market, and competitor insights to guide growth strategies and business decisions.
- Promote a high-performance environment centered on accountability, teamwork, and continuous enhancement.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership in sales within foodservice, FMCG, wholesale, distribution, or similar B2B sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to grow revenue, retain customers, and secure new clients.
- Experience recruiting, coaching, and motivating effective sales teams.
- Strong commercial skills, with effective pricing, margin management, and negotiation record.
- Excellent skills in relationship building and managing complex accounts and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset capable of translating data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working with CRM platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Resilient, proactive, and customer-centric approach.
- Possession of a current valid New Zealand Driver Licence.
