Overview
The Sales Manager role focuses on expanding and managing the ANDRITZ portfolio in the North West African market, driving profitable growth especially in Feed & Biofuel (EFB) solutions including plant systems, equipment, and support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance commercial expansion of EFB business across the region.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to boost sales and profitability.
- Manage and grow existing and new channel and agent networks for sales and service delivery.
- Consistently meet or surpass predefined sales targets and KPIs.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and major accounts.
- Act as the main contact between headquarters, product development teams, and regional market office.
- Represent and promote EFB products and services regionally.
- Prepare price quotations, lead contract negotiations, and close deals in compliance with pricing and approval frameworks.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on market opportunities and sales performance via CRM and monthly updates.
- Support project execution and ensure smooth order handover by providing necessary technical and commercial details.
- Participate in industry events and conferences for business development and market intelligence.
- Expand the company’s market share in animal feed, aqua & pet food, and biomass sectors, while strengthening brand presence.
- Promote knowledge sharing and structured sales approaches within the team.
- Lead by setting clear expectations and developing sales and service personnel competencies.
- Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 70% nationally and internationally).
- Model and support ANDRITZ culture and strategic initiatives.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong foundation in sales and marketing principles, customer experience, and machinery/engineering related to feed equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of the market segments: animal feed, pet food, extrusion, biomass, and waste.
- Proficient in market, customer, and competitor analysis and development.
- Proven track record in equipment business development and sales.
- Experience with CRM and other sales management tools including ANDRITZ IT and IoT technologies.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory; Arabic and other languages are advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation, communication (verbal, presentation, listening), and leadership skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or relevant technical field coupled with strong sales experience.
- Additional qualifications such as MBI or MBA/Marketing are advantageous.
- Proven success in selling capital equipment and projects to animal feed, pet food, oilseed processing, sugar, ethanol, and biomass industries.
- Experience in biofuels and waste/recycling sectors is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Ability and commitment to travel about 70% of the time for business needs.
- Valid driver’s license required.
