Role Overview

The Sales Manager holds full accountability for the commercial outcomes of the showroom, encompassing unit sales, gross margin, finance and insurance (F&I) penetration, trade-in success, and overall customer satisfaction. This leadership role commands a layered sales team, ensuring efficient sales pipeline control, adherence to sales procedures, and alignment with OEM directives and financial targets of the dealership. Acting as the showroom's executive representative, the Sales Manager plays a vital role in revenue, profit, brand image, and customer loyalty (measured by NPS and CSV), balancing strategic planning with operational management to consistently meet goals and foster a high-performance culture.

Key Duties

  • Achieve monthly and yearly targets for unit sales, margins, F&I penetration, accessory sales, and trade-in conversions.
  • Oversee showroom profit & loss by enforcing pricing discipline, controlling discounts, managing costs, and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies aligned with OEM campaigns, stock availability, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Track pipeline efficiency, conversion rates, and sales mix to enhance per-unit profitability.
  • Maintain optimal inventory management to minimize aging stock and improve turnover.
  • Lead and mentor sales supervisors, executives, coordinators, handover specialists, and guest relations staff.
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, and skills development aligned with brand benchmarks and Saudization targets.
  • Establish KPIs for individuals and teams, conduct performance evaluations, and address underperformance with targeted plans.
  • Foster a sales environment rooted in responsibility, conversion success, and exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage strategic relationships with OEMs, focusing on stock allocation, product initiatives, training, and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with finance partners and banks to maintain high F&I penetration, approval rates, and financing outcomes.
  • Engage corporate and fleet clients, along with major strategic customers, to stimulate business expansion.
  • Coordinate with departments such as Aftersales, Marketing, and Finance to align business goals.
  • Ensure showroom presentation, vehicle displays, demo fleet availability, and customer journeys meet OEM corporate identity standards.
  • Oversee NPS and CSV scores, promptly addressing escalated customer complaints.
  • Implement a structured sales journey, including follow-up strategies, to maximize conversions and satisfaction.
  • Maintain a premium, consistent experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Prepare and submit precise sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and analytics to senior leadership and finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC, financing documentation, anti-fraud controls, and internal audits.
  • Guarantee data accuracy in CRM and Dealer Management Systems for reliable reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR to optimize workforce planning, Saudization, and team structure.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of advancing experience in automotive retail sales within franchised dealerships.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role such as Sales Manager or Showroom Manager.
  • Demonstrated success in managing P&L, driving revenue growth, and leading teams within the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Experience overseeing high-volume or multi-brand showrooms is highly advantageous.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Expertise with CRM and Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for sales tracking, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of financial management concepts including gross margin control and inventory metrics.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for generating reports and delivering presentations.
