About the Role
The Sales Lead Research Officer plays a crucial support role within the Sales & Business Development department by gathering and verifying reliable client information. This position involves compiling comprehensive client databases, identifying key company decision-makers such as CEOs and Finance Directors, and providing verified contacts to facilitate the sales team's efforts. This role is strictly research-focused and does not involve direct sales negotiations or closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to confirm company names, general emails, and executive contacts including Managing Directors, CEOs, HR Managers, and other key personnel.
- Obtain direct email addresses when publicly accessible.
- Maintain and update an accurate database or CRM with prospect information, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Identify new target companies to expand the prospect list regularly.
- Deliver research assignments within agreed timelines to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads.
Performance Indicators
- Generation of qualified leads on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Number and accuracy of decision-maker contacts collected.
- Completeness and accuracy of the database entries.
- Acceptance rate of leads by the sales team.
- Timeliness in completing assigned research tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Information Management, or related areas.
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in research, sales support, marketing, or administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and online research tools required; experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
