Role Overview

The Sales Hunter position at Wipro Technologies is a strategic role aimed at expanding business presence within Public Sector Units (PSU) and government ministries. The incumbent will proactively identify new clients, manage account strategies, and drive revenue growth in these vital sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute detailed account plans focusing on client acquisition and revenue objectives within PSUs and ministries.
  • Leverage branding and marketing initiatives, including executive roundtables and networking forums, to enhance market presence and generate opportunities.
  • Manage the hunting lifecycle from initial contact through opportunity qualification, collaboration with pre-sales teams, deal structuring, and negotiating commercial terms ensuring profitability.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives across diverse client functions to act as a reliable IT advisor.
  • Gather market insights to innovate and improve service offerings; develop case studies and prototypes showcasing Wipro's unique value.
  • Oversee revenue tracking from order booking to fulfillment, managing smaller accounts and handling escalations to ensure client satisfaction and contract compliance.

Candidate Profile and Experience

  • Minimum 18 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in sales or business development in the IT sector focused on PSU and government segments.
  • Proven success managing extensive outsourcing sales cycles and client relationships, especially in Middle East or comparable markets.
  • Strong CXO-level network within public sector organizations and ministries to facilitate strategic penetration and growth.
  • Self-driven leadership style with a strong results orientation and the ability to navigate complex sales opportunities independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for negotiation, presentation, and relationship management.
  • Project management experience is a plus for overseeing delivery and handling client issues post-sale.
  • Willingness to undertake regional travel to support client and organizational objectives.
