About the Company and Role

Our client, a family-owned business with over three decades of experience, is a prominent manufacturer and distributor specializing in window and door hardware. They are seeking a precise and commercially aware professional to join their team as a Sales Estimator responsible for delivering timely and accurate quotations.

Work Schedule and Benefits

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, work entirely from the office
• Company pension plan
• Annual salary of A325,000

Key Responsibilities

• Handling customer inquiries by phone and email promptly and professionally
• Generating precise quotations and managing order processing
• Following up on quotations to convert prospects into sales
• Identifying chances to suggest additional products to clients
• Maintaining up-to-date customer profiles and quotation records
• Distributing product samples and information to customers
• Assisting the sales team during peak times
• Developing comprehensive knowledge of the company's product offerings

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a sales or estimating role with direct customer interaction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Polished telephone etiquette and excellent communication abilities
• Strong organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail
• A proactive stance towards customer service and identifying sales opportunities
• Experience in construction, trade, hardware, or building product industries is preferred
