About the Team
The Sales Engineering organization is growing quickly to support the broader sales team with technical depth and customer-facing guidance that helps create revenue opportunities. The pre-sales function focuses on offering technical advisory support to prospects during evaluation and demonstrating the business value of JumpCloud’s solutions.
Role Overview
This position is a remote Sales Engineer role focused on the Singapore market and the wider South East Asia region. You will act as a technical advisor for prospects, partners, and sales teams, helping them understand product capabilities, validate fit, and move through the evaluation process effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultative technical advisor for organizations across Southeast Asia evaluating the JumpCloud platform.
- Deliver product demos tailored to the needs and priorities of each prospect.
- Identify customer pain points and connect those challenges to suitable JumpCloud solutions.
- Support direct sales and partner sales teams with product-related guidance and capability building.
- Develop technical relationships with partners through enablement and co-selling support.
- Help prospects get free trials set up and configured correctly.
- Respond to technical questions as prospects work through the trial process.
- Judge whether a prospect is ready to move into a formal sales cycle.
- Apply implementation best practices to shorten time to value for customers.
- Spot recurring technical issues or themes that could be solved through product improvements, automation, or self-service.
- Provide evaluation guidance and a structured framework for prospects running a proof of concept.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong candidates should be able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking, including in English and local languages such as Mandarin and Cantonese. They should be comfortable simplifying complex processes into practical steps, presenting to both technical evaluators and IT decision-makers, and adapting their communication style to the audience. A willingness to learn complex technical concepts quickly is also important.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar technical pre-sales position.
- Solid knowledge of cloud and SaaS technologies.
- Good understanding of Active Directory environments.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with common authentication and authorization standards such as SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, RADIUS, SCIM, and JIT.
- Exposure to MDM, RMM, or comparable endpoint management tools.
- Experience with MFA technologies such as TOTP and WebAuthn.
- Background in configuring and deploying identity and/or directory solutions.
- Experience supporting both direct and channel/partner-led sales processes.
Location and Work Arrangement
JumpCloud follows a remote-first approach, so this position is intended to be worked remotely within the country named in the job details. For this role, candidates must be based in Singapore and legally authorized to work there.
Language Requirements
English is the primary working language across JumpCloud’s global teams. Interviews and any additional screening steps are conducted mainly in English.
