Role Overview
We are looking for a Sales Director to spearhead business growth for our industrial automation and robotic equipment portfolio. This leader will drive new client acquisitions, manage strategic accounts, and generate substantial revenue by penetrating large industrial and manufacturing markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic sales initiatives to meet yearly revenue goals.
- Seek and secure new contracts within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution sectors.
- Establish enduring partnerships with senior operational and procurement leaders.
- Generate business leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and active outreach.
- Manage comprehensive sales cycles from initial contact to deal closure and execution.
- Demonstrate value of automation and robotics products in enhancing client productivity and efficiency.
- Develop detailed technical and financial proposals including ROI analyses.
- Negotiate favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying new sales opportunities.
- Forge strategic alliances with major industrial, warehouse, and manufacturing entities.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to tailor and deliver client solutions.
- Track industry trends, monitor competitors, and identify emerging market prospects.
- Provide ongoing sales forecasts and pipeline insights to senior management.
Target Market Segments and Products
- Clients: Global Industrial, Uline, distribution centers, manufacturers, automotive suppliers, e-commerce fulfillment centers, 3PL providers, and warehouse and material handling companies.
- Product portfolio: Industrial robots, collaborative robots (cobots), automated material handling and storage systems, conveyor systems, packaging automation, vision inspection systems, industrial AI and smart manufacturing equipment.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years in B2B sales with at least 5 years focused on industrial automation, robotics, or related equipment sales.
- Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing operational processes.
- Exceptional skills in negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder relationship management.
