Role Overview
USRL is looking for a motivated sales leader in the Norfolk market to cultivate significant industry partnerships, discover new business prospects, secure sales victories, and elevate the USRL brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase top-line revenue by engaging new and current customers across all four areas of USRL’s service offerings.
- Achieve or surpass volume and profit goals for the USRL facility located in Portsmouth.
- Create and sustain a detailed market strategy for critical territory markets.
- Engage daily with customers, community leaders, and industry stakeholders, targeting an average of three meaningful interactions per day.
- Swiftly address new customer leads and drive them through to successful completion.
- Utilize the USRL customer relationship management tool (Pipedrive) to organize contacts, track opportunities, and coordinate customer outreach efforts.
- Represent USRL at local industry and economic development forums and events.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and ventures for USRL participation.
Required Qualifications
- Between three and five years of experience in sales or related fields.
- Background in commercial trucking sales.
- Expertise in rail industry or supply chain management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical competency with email, spreadsheet applications, and presentation software.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the workweek.
- Capability to work remotely from home.
- Possession of a personal vehicle for travel, with a vehicle allowance provided.
