Role Overview
A vertically integrated apparel manufacturer with owned production sites in China and Southeast Asia is expanding into the North American market and is looking for a senior sales leader to establish and grow its U.S. commercial footprint. The company works with global fashion brands, retailers, and private-label customers, offering complete support across product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
This position is based in New York, NY and is suited to a commercially minded professional with deep knowledge of the apparel supply chain and a strong network across the U.S. fashion, retail, and branded apparel landscape. The role will focus on creating new business, growing strategic accounts, and positioning the organization as a trusted manufacturing partner for U.S. customers.
Compensation
Competitive salary plus performance-based bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a sales plan aimed at expanding revenue across the U.S. market.
- Source, pursue, and win new business from apparel brands, retailers, and private-label accounts.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across sourcing, product development, merchandising, and executive teams.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity development, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Work closely with internal product development, merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
- Track market developments, competitor activity, and customer needs to uncover growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights for senior leadership.
- Contribute to the launch and expansion of the company’s U.S. commercial operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated success in sales and business development within apparel, textiles, sourcing, or manufacturing.
- Established relationships within U.S. apparel brands, retailers, and/or private-label businesses.
- Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing, sourcing, product development, and international supply chains.
- Proven ability to win new accounts and drive revenue growth.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving setting.
- Solid skills in commercial negotiation and account relationship management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
