Role Overview
This position is a prospecting-focused sales role that acts as one of the first touchpoints for potential customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable opening conversations, building trust quickly with decision-makers, and creating interest in the Workiva platform. The role supports pipeline creation for both current accounts and new prospects and works closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside Account Executives to build an ongoing outreach plan for assigned customer and prospect accounts that supports revenue objectives.
- Gather background research and account intelligence to identify important contacts and relevant account details.
- Reach out to target accounts through cold calling, outbound prospecting, networking, email, digital campaigns, social channels, and similar outreach methods.
- Assess leads and contacts against defined qualification standards so strong opportunities can move into the sales pipeline.
- Develop a working knowledge of Workiva’s platform and present its value and benefits clearly to decision-makers.
- Support sales-cycle activities such as forecasting, reporting, CRM updates, correspondence, and internal communication.
- Encourage attendance at webinars, conferences, and other events, then complete timely follow-up after the event.
- Stay current on Workiva’s product direction as well as competitor and market developments.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and other assigned performance targets and metrics.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or a closely related function.
- An associate’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education, knowledge, and related work experience.
- Strong fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the role includes outbound engagement, qualification calls, and customer interaction across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
- Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication abilities with a polished professional presence.
- Highly self-driven, action-oriented, and focused on results and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing organization while managing competing priorities and initiatives.
- Strong organizational ability with the capacity to handle several processes, programs, and procedures at once.
- Ability to sustain a high activity level while balancing multiple priorities effectively.
- Capable of learning and adapting through an online training environment.
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and performance metrics.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer meetings and internal events.
- Reliable internet connectivity is required for any time spent working remotely outside a Workiva office.
