About the team

The Singapore Outbound team is central to business growth. It helps build pipeline, win new customers in strategic segments, strengthen brand awareness, speed up customer acquisition, and influence how products are positioned across target industries. The team works closely with Marketing, Product, and Revenue Strategy & Operations to keep Airwallex at the leading edge of innovation and to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers.

About the role

Airwallex is hiring a motivated, strategic, and detail-focused Senior SDR / SDR for its Outbound Sales, SME & Growth team in Singapore. The role is centered on finding and engaging companies that are a strong fit for the Spend Management solution, especially businesses dealing with rising operational complexity, distributed teams, growing software and advertising spend, and a need for better control, visibility, and efficiency over company expenses.

You will research target accounts, identify the right stakeholders in Finance and leadership, and create tailored outbound campaigns that generate qualified pipeline for the Account Executive team. This is a strategic outbound position that blends research, account planning, prospecting, and commercial thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Spot, prioritise, and contact organisations that are likely to benefit from Airwallex’s Spend Management platform, including those with increasing employee spend, software subscriptions, ad spend, international teams, and layered approval processes.
  • Work with partners across Outbound, Marketing, Product Sales, and Revenue Strategy & Operations to support account planning, forecasting, and scaling the spend management motion.
  • Handle daily operational work accurately and efficiently, using Salesforce and other data tools to support team goals.
  • Review performance indicators such as outreach productivity, pipeline health, and win rates to find trends, close gaps, and shape improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Sales and AEs to build and nurture a strong prospect pipeline from the scaled SME segment through trust-based value selling.
  • Create and help deliver creative outbound campaigns that improve prospect engagement and drive qualified meetings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or commercial operations, ideally in FinTech, B2B SaaS, expense management, or ERP-related environments.
  • Ability to run high-level discovery conversations that go beyond features and pricing, with emphasis on value, workflow improvements, and financial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical ability and hands-on experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and analytics platforms such as Google Sheets and Looker.
  • Capability to map complex company structures and identify the right finance decision-makers, including CFOs, Finance Directors, and Financial Controllers, while writing tailored and polished outreach emails.
  • Clear understanding of business finance processes such as corporate cards, expense management, accounts payable, and the financial software stack.
  • Strong spoken and written English; additional regional languages such as Mandarin or Bahasa are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Experience in fast-moving environments, preferably startups or scale-ups.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
