Role overview

As a Sales Development Representative, you will help power Stripe’s growth by partnering with Demand Generation and Account Executives to qualify leads and build the sales pipeline. The role calls for someone who enjoys speaking with prospects, identifying strong opportunities, and handling the early stages of the sales process. You will also contribute to shaping the demand generation and sales motion, along with the tools and assets that support them. The team uses a data-led, analytical approach to sales development, and the role includes both customer prospecting and helping refine overall strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Spot promising companies, industries, and markets, then plan and run outbound outreach to bring them to Stripe.
  • Work follow-ups on marketing-generated leads, assess whether they are qualified opportunities, pass strong prospects to the right salesperson, and schedule meetings.
  • Create and manage campaigns from the initial idea through to qualified conversations, and think through how to scale successful efforts.
  • Build and document effective sales practices and workflows for both large-scale and customized prospect interactions.
  • Reach out to potential customers through cold calling and responses to marketing-driven inquiries.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to shape account strategy and prospect into assigned accounts.
  • Develop prospect relationships, ask the right questions to understand needs, and assess interest and fit before handing off to sales.
  • Re-engage prospects who showed interest but did not immediately become sales opportunities.
  • Work through lead lists against SLAs, keep CRM records current, and contribute to weekly reporting.
  • Share feedback and market insights with Marketing to strengthen targeting and messaging.
  • Support customers as they activate and deploy contracted Stripe services.

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in Italian, Spanish, and English.
  • A history of strong performance or measurable previous success.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
  • Strong enthusiasm for technology.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Availability to work from the Dublin office three days each week.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience in a fast-growing technology company.

Work arrangement

This is an on-site position in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The role requires in-office participation three days per week.

In-office expectations

For many office-based roles, Stripe expects at least half of the working month to be spent in the local office or with users. Some roles, including Stripe Delivery Center positions in Mexico City, Bengaluru, and Dublin, are fully office-based. Other teams may require more in-person attendance depending on the needs of the role, team, and location. The final arrangement will be discussed by the hiring manager.

Compensation and benefits

The annual on-target earnings range for the primary location is €56,560 to €84,800. This can vary by location and may include both base pay and sales commissions or bonuses. The exact offer may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Additional compensation and benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness stipends.

Additional information

This compensation range may cover multiple career levels at Stripe. Candidates not based in the primary location can request the applicable salary range during the interview process.
