Job Overview

The position of Centre In-Charge for Agri Input Centres (AIC) involves managing daily operations, studying local crop patterns, planning sales, and driving farmer engagement to meet targets in the agricultural retail industry. This role demands oversight of staff, maintenance of market awareness, and adherence to company processes at centres located primarily in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily functions of the Agri Input Centre ensuring smooth operations.
  • Analyze regional cropping patterns to prepare strategic annual and monthly sales plans.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets by actively conducting field visits and engaging with farmers.
  • Supervise centre personnel and secure comprehensive market outreach.
  • Provide regular updates to supervisors regarding new products, competitor activities, pricing, and promotional schemes.
  • Implement company-defined operational procedures and systems consistently.
  • Maintain cleanliness, discipline, branding, and upkeep of the centre's premises.
  • Manage procurement planning, stock receipt verification, and inventory control in accordance with defined processes.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of government-required documentation and collaborate with administration for license management.
  • Organize farmer-centric initiatives such as meetings, demonstrations, group gatherings, and sales campaigns to promote products.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational background including B.Sc. Agriculture, Diploma in Agriculture, BRS, or B.Sc. Chemistry.
  • Experience ranging from freshers up to one year preferred in agri-input sales or field sales roles.
  • Familiarity with agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and micronutrients.
  • Understanding of local farming practices and crop cycles.
  • Competency in sales planning and achieving targets with a focus on field engagement.
  • Basic inventory management and documentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with team members, seniors, and administrative staff effectively.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and follow-up capabilities.
