Role overview
The Cisco APJC Scale Growth Office drives expansion, innovation, and scale across the Mid Market and SMB segments in Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China. The team shapes Cisco’s growth approach by tailoring solutions for local markets, strengthening partner engagement, and speeding adoption of cloud, networking, and SaaS offerings. In India, the function plays a key part in setting the go-to-market direction, reinforcing the ecosystem, and helping partners win in a fast-changing market.
What you will do
As the Scale Portfolio Business Development Manager - India, you will own the strategy and execution of portfolio plans designed to accelerate growth in the mid-market and SMB segments. You will work with sales, marketing, distribution, and architecture stakeholders to launch competitive, locally relevant product and solution bundles while improving profitability and partner outcomes.
- Build, refine, and oversee a Cisco product and solutions portfolio tailored for India and aligned to the Scale GTM direction.
- Design offers and bundle structures that support partner-led and service-led expansion in the Indian market.
- Analyze pricing, discounting, and margins to strengthen competitiveness and protect profitability.
- Partner with Architecture Sales, Partner Organization, Distribution, and Marketing teams to deliver aligned execution.
- Run recurring business reviews, share success measures, and monitor channel portfolio results to sustain growth and GTM delivery.
Minimum qualifications
This role calls for deep industry experience, a strong grasp of Cisco’s offerings, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required.
- At least 15 years of experience in the IT industry across sales, product management, or engineering, with a strong record of driving technology growth.
- Solid understanding of Cisco product architectures and service offerings for Mid Market and SMB segments.
- Proven background in building and executing market-specific product and pricing strategies.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Preferred qualifications
- Background working with Service Providers (SP) and Managed Service Providers (MSP), especially in service development or acceleration roles.
- Strategic and inventive mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and lead change.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgment, including competitive positioning and pricing strategy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex strategies at different organizational levels.
- History of acting as a change agent who drives transformation and measurable business outcomes.
