Role Summary

The Sales Assistant supports store sales and helps create a strong in-store experience for customers. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role focuses on keeping the outlet clean and well-presented, assisting shoppers, and carrying out day-to-day operational tasks assigned by management. Performance is judged by customer service quality, visual standards, store efficiency, and contribution to sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers promptly with a friendly, upbeat greeting and create a strong first impression through professional appearance and attitude.
• Assist shoppers in fitting rooms, respond to their needs quickly, and close each interaction with a courteous thank-you and invitation to return.
• Share accurate and up-to-date product information to help customers make informed choices.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to increase basket size and offer gift cards at the checkout area.
• Keep the store tidy, organized, and aligned with presentation standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and efficient cash wrap area.
• Record customer details in the database to support better service and marketing activities.

Requirements

• High school education is mandatory.
• At least 1 to 2 years of retail sales experience is required.
• Strong spoken communication skills are needed.
• Comfort with physical work, including some heavy lifting and standing for long periods, is essential.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, or Photoshop is required.
• Customer-focused attitude with experience serving and engaging shoppers.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
