About the Role

This position is focused on driving sales and creating a strong customer experience in the market hall. The Sales Assistant also supports day-to-day store operations, including product arrangement, keeping the sales area in good condition, and carrying out tasks assigned by the shopkeeper.

What You Will Be Doing

• Keep the store area spotless, tidy, and aligned with store presentation standards.
• Show a consistently positive attitude toward the products, brand, and business.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the shopkeeper.
• Work toward and meet weekly sales goals.
• Take part in market hall stock counts and inventory activities.
• Attend store meetings and any other required events.
• Arrive on time and follow the assigned work schedule.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors, especially during busy periods.
• Follow IKEA policies and procedures without exception.
• Create a welcoming first impression through energy, professionalism, and proper dress code.
• Greet shoppers promptly and warmly when they enter the store.
• Share timely and useful information with customers.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate should be comfortable communicating clearly, working across teams, and staying effective when customer traffic is high. A solid background in retail sales is important, along with familiarity with customer service expectations and the values of Al-Futtaim and IKEA. Working knowledge of Navision, plus basic Excel and reporting ability, will also help in this role.
