You will represent sales excellence within the club, lead by example, apply effective growth tactics, and nurture strong connections both inside the gym and with the local community.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and implement the FUNDAMENTALS sales process, while coaching and training the team to deliver strong performance.
- Generate new membership sales and protect retention among current members to grow the active member base.
- Take ownership of the club activity planner, making sure initiatives are thoughtfully planned, executed, and effective.
- Design and apply inventive lead-generation approaches across internal and external channels.
- Track dashboards and KPIs, share practical insights with the team, and help ensure performance goals are achieved.
- Drive revenue across memberships, products, and secondary spend to support overall profitability.
- Prepare and present monthly sales updates to the wider management team.
- Build local business relationships and develop #WeMoveBusinesses opportunities.
- Work visibly on reception and the gym floor in a member-facing leadership capacity.
- Support national campaigns such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
- Give clear, constructive feedback to colleagues to help improve their capability and results.
- Assist the General Manager with operational duties, including health and safety, facilities, maintenance, recruitment, and presentation standards.
Candidate profile
You should be genuinely interested in health, fitness, and wellness, and bring a strong leadership style with the ability to motivate and coach others. A clear focus on sales and retention, along with a results-oriented mindset, is important for success in this role. You will need excellent communication and people skills, with the flexibility to adjust your approach for different audiences. The ideal candidate remains positive, practical, and resilient when under pressure, while also being ambitious and eager to grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
