Job description
Role Overview
Nesma United Industries is looking for a Safety Officer to support health, safety, and environmental execution across project locations in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring site-wide compliance, reducing risk, and strengthening safety culture in an oil and gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make sure HSE/LPP programs are properly rolled out and followed across project sites.
- Carry out safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks on a regular basis.
- Escalate hazards, incidents, and other safety-related issues to management promptly.
- Work closely with clients and site teams to keep HSE requirements on track.
- Examine accidents or incidents and suggest suitable corrective actions.
- Deliver safety awareness sessions and support emergency response planning and coordination.
- Track correct use of PPE and other safety gear.
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, logs, and reports.
- Encourage safety consciousness and ongoing improvement at the worksite.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma is required.
- Professional certification in OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH is needed.
- Must hold an approved Saudi Aramco Contractor Safety Officer approval.
- Should have at least 3 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas sector, with a cumulative total of 5 years of working knowledge.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English is essential.
