Safety Officer (Wood Factory) - Saudi Arabia

Job Overview

Elite Luminary Company LTD is hiring a Safety Officer for their wood factory operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires the implementation and supervision of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies to ensure a safe workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce HSE policies and procedures rigorously across the workplace.
• Perform daily health and safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Recommend and implement corrective measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety training sessions for workers.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed accident reports.
• Ensure the correct and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among employees.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Labour and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Public Health or Physiotherapy (Bachelor level).
• Proven experience between 5 to 10 years in relevant sectors such as manpower recruitment, industrial machinery (including generators, diesel engines), firefighting and safety, or healthcare startups.
• Proficiency in report writing and understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
• Specific skills include HSE management, occupational health, fire safety, risk assessment, and emergency response operations.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE qualifications are highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
• Possession of a valid passport is advantageous.

Compensation

The monthly salary offered ranges between Tk. 80,000 to Tk. 130,000.
