Job description
Role Overview
Al Shuwayer Group of Companies is looking for a Safety Officer to support workplace health and safety in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring safe operations, maintaining compliance with legal and company standards, and strengthening prevention measures across the worksite.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and put into practice workplace health and safety plans in line with legal requirements.
- Guide the Safety Manager on compliance gaps and preventive actions.
- Prepare reports and help draft relevant safety policies.
- Track and report on safety awareness, incidents, concerns, and related statistics.
- Carry out safety inspections and surveys, document findings, recommend corrective or preventive actions, and verify that follow-up actions are completed.
- Check employee practices and site operations to ensure rules, policies, and legal obligations are being followed.
- Organize and deliver safety training for employees at the worksite.
- Spot hazards in facilities, equipment, and machinery, then take action to reduce or remove them.
- Review drawings and specifications for new equipment and machinery to confirm safety standards are met.
