Job Overview

BMarko Structures is searching for a meticulous and proactive Safety Inspector dedicated to fostering a secure, compliant, and productive workplace. This role involves observing workplace conditions, detecting potential safety risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a safety-first mindset throughout the organization.

Primary Duties

  • Perform routine evaluations of facilities, machinery, and operational procedures to spot hazards and compliance lapses
  • Guarantee compliance with corporate safety rules, protocols, and relevant legal standards
  • Log inspection outcomes, produce detailed reports, and suggest remedial action steps
  • Probe workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, contributing to root-cause analysis
  • Confirm that corrective measures are applied effectively
  • Assist in safety training programs and promote employee awareness of safe working methods
  • Keep precise safety documentation, including inspection records and incident reports
  • Cooperate with supervisors and management teams to enhance safety standards
  • Engage in safety audits and provide support during regulatory inspections when necessary

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or related areas is favored
  • Previous exposure to safety inspections in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings is advantageous
  • Familiarity with workplace safety laws and best practices
  • Strong skills in observation, analysis, and problem resolution
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaborating effectively across hierarchical levels

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Safety Certification
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification considered an asset

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and thoroughly inspect areas for prolonged periods
  • Packing and carrying items during inspections as necessary
  • Comfort working in industrial environments using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
