Job description
About roadsurfer
roadsurfer is a fast-growing campervan company and also offers a platform for discovering and booking unique camping locations. The business is expanding across multiple products, with the aim of making travel and outdoor adventures easy and enjoyable.
Role summary
As an RV Technician, you help ensure that vehicles remain safe to drive and that customers have a reliable experience. You will support a rental station in your region, take shared responsibility for the condition of the campervans, handle smaller repairs on your own, and pass practical knowledge on to station colleagues so they can carry out some repairs themselves.
You will also contribute actively to shaping your work area, enjoy taking on new projects, and bring in your own ideas.
Responsibilities
- Keep the vehicles roadworthy, safe, and aligned with customer satisfaction expectations.
- Support and look after the rental station within your assigned area.
- Share responsibility for the technical condition of the campervans.
- Carry out minor repair work independently and train station staff to handle selected repairs themselves.
- Help improve your work environment and take part in new initiatives and projects.
Requirements
- Completed training as an automotive mechatronics technician, mechanic, vehicle technician, or an equivalent qualification.
- Applicants from other trades such as carpentry or electrical work are also welcome if they have strong technical ability and are open to a career change.
- Interest in a wide range of vehicle brands and models; familiarity with the company’s common vehicle types is an advantage.
- Strong flexibility, willingness to travel from time to time, and good hands-on repair skills.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
Perks and benefits
- Friendly team culture with flat hierarchies, plenty of fun, and regular team events such as sports sessions, barbecues, or after-work drinks at your station.
- Annual free rental allowance for campervans so you can experience the camper lifestyle yourself.
- Bike leasing option through a JobRad-style benefit.
- Access to corporate discounts, a travel industry card, and savings for family and friends.
Compensation
The salary range for this role in Germany is up to EUR 45,000 gross per year.
