Route Driver - Office Coffee

Overview

Canteen is looking to immediately fill a full-time Route Driver role focused on office coffee service in Warwick, Rhode Island. The position centers on driving a company vehicle along an assigned route to deliver products, service equipment, and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with shifting days. Typical hours are from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, and overtime may be available. Additional scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $27.00 to $30.00.

What the Role Involves

The driver represents the company directly at customer sites and is expected to maintain a professional, positive presence at all times. The job includes delivering office coffee and related breakroom products, managing inventory, servicing equipment, and supporting customer satisfaction.

• Keep vending and related equipment stocked with the correct inventory levels and product mix.
• Deliver consistent service that supports strong customer satisfaction.
• Follow company policies and apply them appropriately while on route.
• Clean and sanitize equipment on a routine basis.
• Carry out minor equipment servicing and adjustments, and escalate defects to maintenance or dispatch when needed.
• Load the truck before each route so all scheduled stops can be serviced properly.
• Inform customers about new products or services and resolve service concerns when they arise.
• Set up promotional materials and merchandise displays as needed.
• Track deliveries, invoices, cash collected, and product receipts accurately.
• Complete inventory reconciliation according to district procedures.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and organized and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Work safely and professionally while completing all assigned duties.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 3 years of driving experience and hold a valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license, unless a different license is required by the state. Prior experience delivering office coffee, breakroom supplies, and handling inventory is preferred.

• 3 years of driving experience is required.
• A valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license is required, subject to state rules.
• Previous customer service experience of 1 to 2 years is preferred, or at minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Should be able to operate material handling equipment such as a box truck or handcart, or be willing to learn.
• Must be comfortable working independently and unsupervised for most of the day.
