Job overview
Canteen is looking to add full-time and part-time Food Service Utility team members in Berea, Kentucky. This role supports kitchen and service operations by keeping work areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
Location and schedule
The position is based at Hyster Yale, 2200 Menelaus Road, Berea, KY 40403. Scheduling is Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm, with additional details to be confirmed during the interview. Applications are accepted online only.
What the role involves
- Cleaning kitchen work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain an orderly environment.
- Sweeping and mopping floors to support sanitation and safety standards.
- Washing worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Collecting trash and placing it in the proper containers, including cleaning garbage cans when needed.
- Moving supplies and equipment between storage spaces and work areas.
- Helping with banquet table setup and front-of-house preparation.
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distributing utensils, portable equipment, and other supplies as required.
- Following all sanitation and safety rules.
- Taking on additional duties as assigned.
Experience and preferred background
Previous hands-on experience in food preparation, food service, sanitation, and cashiering is preferred.
Pay and incentives
The hourly pay rate is between $13.00 and $14.00. Eligible team members can also receive a quarterly bonus incentive of up to $500, along with an internal employee referral bonus opportunity.
